Oracle Enterprise Performance Reporting Cloud Service (EPRCS) provides a solution whereby organizations can combine narrative along with management financial reporting in order to explain results.  It allows various contributors to collaborate across multiple sources and locations.

One of the features in EPRCS is the ability to pull in data from other Oracle-supported cloud solutions.  This is accomplished by creating data sources.  These data sources can be used in to develop reports in EPRCS.  Once these reports are created, they can then be embedded into doclets.

To create a data source from another cloud application, navigate to the Library.  Select Data Sources -> Create -> Data Source.

From the Data Source dialog box, enter the Data Source Name, Server Name, Identity Domain, Administrator User ID, Administrator Password, Application Name and Cube Name.  Select the Type from the drop-down box.  Test the connection.

Type options include:

  • Oracle Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (PBCS)
  • Oracle Essbase Cloud Service (ESSCS)
  • Oracle Profitability and Cost Management Cloud Service (PCMCS)
  • Essbase Analytic Provider Services
